About me.
I am a licensed architect based in New York City. My expertise is in high performance building design, sustainable and regenerative practices (design & construction), and resiliency measures to prepare our built environments for increasing heat, precipitation, and sea level rise. I am passionate about teaching and learning about the interconnected challenges and solutions between climate, equity, and the built environment.
Additional skillsets include: teaching and education, project management, research and reporting, green building laws and policy, energy reduction strategies, client-facing deliverables and graphics, and urban resilience strategies.

Project Director // Office of Sustainable Design
Licensed architect & LEED AP in Project Director role working to ensure that the city’s public buildings reduce their GHG emissions, meet energy targets, increase resilience, and advance social equity.
The DDC is the City's primary capital construction project manager, building many of the civic facilities New Yorkers use every day, such as firehouses, libraries, courthouses, senior centers and more. In this role, I assessed and improved the overall quality and performance of all newly built and renovated public buildings, placing a priority on identifying and implementing cost-effective ways to promote greater environmental responsibility. Beyond the baseline of first principles of sustainable design, the following strategies were explored and implemented: geothermal systems, stormwater management, efficient lighting, resiliency measures (energy, heat, water, etc.), photovoltaic integration, and more.

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.
Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.
